WHO DO WE SERVE?
We serve any person in need of food that lives within Pierce or St. Croix County . Each family may come twice a month for groceries, plus an additional weekly visit during which they may pick up extra bread and produce. We serve approximately 300 families and distribute more than 20,000 pounds of food monthly.
HOW MANY ARE SERVED?
River Falls Community Food Pantry is a private, non-profit, volunteer organization that serves over 2,000 households in the River Falls area. In 2021, the Pantry had 3,212 visits, and the need continues to grow!

Our History
The River Falls Community Food Pantry began in the 1980’s at Ezekiel Lutheran Church and operated there for over 20 years. Ezekiel provided space at no cost to the Pantry. The Pantry started out in a small closet and was operated by a few dedicated volunteers. A person in need would call one of the volunteers during the day to meet them at the Pantry to receive food.
In 2006, the program was reorganized, creating open door hours, including evening and weekend hours. The Pantry experienced immediate growth and due to this increase, we had to expand into classrooms and closets. We then partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank, which enabled us to keep up with the community demand. The changing economy continued to bring increasing demand, and in 2010 we moved to a rented location at 222 North Main Street, Suite C.
In 2017 the Board of Directors recognized the need to find a larger, more permanent space for the increasing need in our community. A sub committee was formed to evaluate local options and in 2018 land was purchased to build a new facility. On October 21, 2019 we opened the doors at 705 St. Croix Street, our current location.
Our pantry is a volunteer organization. We have about 40+ active volunteers that work with clients, another 14 that drive to make commercial food donation pick ups, and another group that helps unload deliveries and stock shelves. We are one of the largest food pantries in Western Wisconsin, and the largest food pantry in Pierce and St. Croix Counties.

Executive Director
Candice was born and raised in River Falls and loves our community. She has worked in the nonprofit sector on and off for over 13 years and in 2013 she was selected as the first employee! She feels very fortunate to be in this role and her goal is to ensure every one of our neighbors is able to provide food for themselves and their families.

Mandy joined our team in June of 2021 in hopes of having a part-time job that works with her family's busy life while serving the community in which she lives.
